Sacrilegious
Some covers should not be attempted…one should not cover The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Radiohead or Nirvana, I’m sure there are others but these are some basics…
Actually, as I write that I realised that I really love the Mark Ronson version of ‘Just’ by Radiohead and so do they…so there may be exceptions to the rule
Well anyway, when I found on YouTube a version of ‘Love Will Tear Us Apart’ (which is actually one of the greatest songs ever written and is so incredibly bittersweet and I love it) originally by Joy Division covered by Fall Out Boy…yes, I said Fall Out Boy covering it…I prepared myself to hate it…
But…unfortunately…I really like it…it does well to do the whole sounding like the original whilst sounding different and unique…which when covering a song is hard to do…

The Lithium cover is awesome. AWESOME I TELL YOU. But that cover is awful. The 65daysofstatic Born Slippy / Love Will Tear Us Apart remix wins my favourite joy division by non-joy division moment.
