Ipswich vs. Chester!

Saturday, April 21st, 2007

So…its the day before I go back to Chester (was about to say home then!) Im sooo excited to be going back as I love it up there. However will miss everyone here muchly!

Both have their pros and cons… e.g. Ipswich brings easy access to going to the Seaside and boasts the privilege of having a primark! However…being at home means having to pay for petrol and also means that I have to pay unfair library fines!

Chester however…just a beautiful city and is only 10 mins walk from where I live, meaning no car required, it has an apple shop, a disney store and a george store, it’s also very close to liverpool and manchester. However I have to do my own washing at chester and don’t get much sleep.

Which do I consider home…both…is that ok? Which is better Ipswich or Chester?? You decide!!!!

Love is a lie, which means I’ve been lied to

Friday, April 20th, 2007

Dear all Hayley vs. Gareth readers,

I apologise for the lack of posts from me lately, I am sorry but due to recent events, I have not been in the right mood to write the happy, fun, laughable, enjoyable posts that you have become accustomed to. I apologise but I thought you would all prefer no posts rather than posts that are depressing. Hopefully, I’ll feel like blogging again soon, until then I’ll leave you in the ‘capable’ hands of Miss Hayley Cornwell.

The Amen reflex…

Thursday, April 12th, 2007

There is something that I feel I need to share and warn all you lovely people about. I’m calling it the Amen reflex. Recently I’ve discovered (embarassingly) that I have the tendency automatically say Amen when someone says it, if i’m in a bit of a day dream and not really listening…these are when I discovered that I had this problem…(which I am not proud of, amen should only be said if you agree with what the person has said, and hearing what they’ve said before you agree is kind of crucial!)

1. I was in the Caravan at Spring Harvest, two of the girls were praying and I was on the other side of the room reading. Then as one of them closed the prayer with Amen, I responded with Amen…it was a small room, it sounded like i’d been listening to their prayer…the reflex Hit!

2. Was in the Bible Reading in the Big Top, they were reading out the Bible passage, it was long, I was tired (there’s really no excuse) and at one point in the middle of the passge the word Amen was spoken…to my horror before I knew what I was saying I was also uttering that word…very loudly…I got some strange looks, sure.

Beware my firends…

Paul

I would like to take the time to ease Paul’s worries that his sarcastic and witty comments about my life on this website have not been taken the wrong way by you the readers…

Paul (although a very funny commenter) is a very good close friend of mine and has been very supportive to me as my life is crap.
