Hello From Chester!
- by Hayles
So…here I am! This week has been so amazing so far…am missing you guys though! I’m sharing a house with a lovely group of girls! There’s me in room 1, in room 2 we have Monica who is from Finland, Steph from Chesterfield in room 3 – she’s our girl with the broadest Northern accent, in room 4 there is a fellow ginger who speaks Welsh in the shape of Gem. Opposite her in room 5 there is the lovely Jen – who is studying to be a teacher and who passed her driving test last week! Hurrah! And finaly in room 6 there is Laura – from Coventry, who is studying Christian Youth work and Theology!
This week has been eventful so far. What with Gem nearly getting her phone stolen, Steph getting locked in the toilet, getting conned out of money by a guy selling balloon flowers and generally just having a bit of a laugh!
CU was great last night, they’re a really awesome group of people and I can’t wait to get more involved! Pub crawl round the hundreds of bars in Chester tonight (Gareth, you would love it!), and another bright and early start tommorrow. Look forward to the forth coming series…Fun facts about Chester!!!
Miss you

just wanted to let you all know that I (Hayley) won’t be posting this week as am going to be away from home and with no internet! Sorry, I will miss you all very much, but will be back in no time.
I’ve had a very strange week. I’ve been saying my goodbyes to people before I leave for Uni next Sun, and man, does that take it out of you. An arwful thing about the week…I’ve lost my waterproof mascara, but I’ve never needed it so badly!
see you soon

Ouestion…

Is it ever possible to cut an onion and not cry? I swear that I have done it in the past, but for the life of me I can’t remember how, I feel that as a student this is going to be a very important question that I need to be answered.
My experiment

I am conducting an experiment…
…Do blondes really have more fun? I will be letting you know over the next few weeks, as I now am partially blonde. It’s all quite strange…
Things to complain about…

Trolley’s – they are rubbish!
Saturday Night TV
Not being able to Shop
Coffee being to hot to drink when you buy it from a shop to take away, so you have to wait for 20 minutes to drink and still burn your tongue.
Only having a week left at home… but so much more to do!
yes… i would like some cheese to go with this wine. Bree would be good, but it not cheddar will do.
Disney!

I realised just how cool I’ve become this year, as I was driving home last night and pulled up to some traffic lights. There I was singing along to Beauty and the Beast – tale as old as time (after the Little Mermaid, and of corse A Whole New World!!!) when an ultra cool suped up chav moible pulled up behind me – I couldn’t hear the melody of the they were blasting out but the base line added something special to Mrs Potts song! I was also debating with myself what my favourite Disney film is. It’s got to be between A Little Mermaid, Aladdin and Beauty and the Beast. After much thought on the matter. I decided on The Little Mermaid. I open it to you guys…What is your favourite Disney film???
Who knew painting could be such hard work!

Well…. today was offically the last day that I ever need to go into CYM. It was a sad moment when Gareth and I stood at the door to the office which we have shared for the last year. The office in which the majority of our posts have been written and in which hayley vs. gareth came about. I must mention that it looks 1000 times better than it did last year, as Gareth, Phil and myself have spent the day painting it, and as Gareth would say doesnt have all my filth in…im not that untidy honest! It’s only 19 days till i go to uni now…. so scary… but amazingly exciting.
Another exciting point… Phil Green has been working for the EA this year on a project called essential. Its a great project which aims at getting young people to enagae in Biblical truth, looking at theology in youth groups as well as all the issue based stuff. Any way the website is now up and running – looking very cool i must say. So have a look – www.essential-truth.org
