Where are they now…Saved by the Bell

How many times have you had that conversation with your mates about those TV shows which marked your childhood? The likes of Postman Pat, Captain Buckey O’Hare and Thunderbirds are always mentioned.

Then there’s another show that’s in a league of its own… ‘Saved by the Bell’! But, have you ever wondered what those guys are doing now? The show consisted of 6 main Characters: Zack Morris, Kelly Kapowski, Albert Clifford ‘A.C’ Slater, Samuel ’screech’ Powers, Lisa Turtle and Jessie Spano

Zack Morris aka Mark-Paul Gosselaar

The heart - throb of the show! When I visited Disney, Florida in 2000 I was convinced that the guy dressed up as Phoebus from the ‘Hunchback of Notre Dame’ was Zack! However I have come to realise that I was perhaps wrong. Mark-Paul, has worked loads since Saved by the Bell, but is probably best known for his role in NYPD Blue. He can most recently be seen in a US drama called ‘Commander in Chief.

Kelly Kapowski aka Tiffani Thiessen

As Gareth is sitting here saying… ’she’s hot’. This is who I wanted to be! She was stunning and she was with Zack, what more could you want from life! Since Saved by the Bell she’s been in various TV series, including ‘Two guys a girl and Pizza Place’, and ‘Beverly Hills’. Most recently she’s started up her own production company.

AC Slater aka Mario Lopez

The on-off boyfriend of Jessie, and the enemy turned friend to Zack. Now a presenter on ESPN Hollywood and also in the soap The Bold and Beautiful.

Screech Powers aka Dustin Diamond

Screech = legend! I always felt really sorry for him, constantly being turned down by Lisa, he never learnt! Dustin hasn’t really done huge amounts apart from ‘Saved by the Bell’. He was in ‘Saved by the Bell: The College years’ and then went on to be in ‘Saved by the Bell: The New Class’… yer we won’t mention that, such a disappointment.

Lisa Turtle aka Lark Voorhies

I do share Lisa’s love for fashion, love those leggings and high waisted jeans! Lark has been in a few American TV soaps and also was in Star Trek! Most recently she’s making a new film.

Jessie Spano aka Elizabeth Berkley

The feminist, and the object of Slater’s attention. Since ‘Saved by the Bell’, she’s probably best known for her role in the film ‘Showgirls’, but she’s been in loads of other one of shows. Most recently making a guest performance in ‘Law and Order’.
So that’s where they are now…

If you’ve always wanted to know what ‘Saved by the Bell’ Charcater you are most like, this is where to go!

A lot of people I know are in the middle of exams at the moment, (in case you hadn’t realised that’s why the weather has suddenly gone nice!) so I just want to wish them all lots and lots of luck. Hope they go really well!

Just think of that long summer, with nothing to do but have fun!

Saved!

What to do on a Sunday afternoon??? Watch the first movie which you spot sitting on the shelf of the room that you’re sitting in is always a good choice! Thats how Kate, Gareth and myself ended up watching the fantastic film that is “Saved”. True if you watched it and weren’t already ’saved’ (for want of a better word!) it would put you off Christianity and for that matter Christians for ever, but if you know that only 95% of the stereotype’s in the movie are true, then its good fun!
The classic moment which I have taken great inspiration from (watch out for me throwing my bible at you the next time I see you..) is as follows:
Hilary Faye: Mary, turn away from Satan. Jesus, he loves you.
Mary: You don’t know the first thing about love.
Hilary Faye: [throws a Bible at Mary] I am FILLED with Christ’s love! You are just jealous of my success in the Lord.
Mary: [Mary holds up the Bible] This is not a weapon! You idiot.

O, how little she knows, the double edged sword and all that!

So, me and the ginger ninja are having lunch with Kate Feaver whilst Phil and Becky Green are in Cuba and I am now posting on their shining beautiful Mac!

We have been playing with a program called Photo Booth and having fun taking cool hip photos…

I’m going to make you all wait until tomorrow to see them but I can assure you they are worth the wait!

This week has sucked!

Thanks to working away these last two weeks I had to rush through a massive piece of work for my course and it was hell!
